I was looking to invest in a similar company such as Andarko Petroleum when (APC) when I stumbled across this diamond in the rough. Though I still believe that oil prices will recede from their highs, I am still bullish on exploration and production, a huge segment of Marathon Oil's business segment. Furthermore they have operations in 11 countries and have a P/E multiple of 9.5. I consider this group to be similar to ConocoPhillips (COP) and are a prime takeover cannindate at these levels.
