I purchased KOL because coal has been performing extremely well (outpacing oil) and I believe that it still has a long way to go. There have been major storms in coal producing countries that have affected the supply of coal while demand continues to increase which will drive the price up. KOL is an ETF so it is an easy way to get a broad exposure to the coal market.

Cliche pick. Everyone knows KOL and USO are top picks for the energy sector--wanted a fraction of my portfolio invested in these for long term gains.
